QuickBooks Remote Access

This tutorial shows how to connect to QuickBooks for A Better Choice remotely from certain pre-approved locations.

Prerequisites

To complete this tutorial you will need the following:

  • Internet Access
  • Remote Desktop Connection (normally pre-installed on Windows)
  • QuickBooks Virtual Machine (VM) Powered On

If QuickBooks VM is not powered on, follow this guide on checking the power status.

Getting Started

  1. Open Remote Desktop Connection on your computer.

Some user profiles will have a shortcut labeled ABC Quickbooks on the Desktop.

  1. Make sure the address is quickbooks.pregnancywichita.com.

  2. Once Computer name is verified, click Connect.

  3. You will then be prompted for a username and password. The use the shared username and password for the accounting staff. Once entered, press Connect.

  4. Once connected to the desktop, you can then launch QuickBooks as per normal.

caution

Once done with QuickBooks, please do not shutdown the Virtual Desktop, only disconnect or log off.
